Mariah Carey celebrates Fernanda Torres’ nomination at the 2025 Oscars

The American singer Mariah Carey 55, used social media on Thursday night (23), to celebrate the nomination of the Brazilian Fernanda Torres at the 2025 Oscars.

The protagonist of “Slaps and Kisses” won a nomination at the awards in the category of Best Actress for his performance in “I’m Still Here” from Walter Salles.

In a story published on her Instagram profile, Mariah Carey shared the news of Torres’ appointment and wrote “Congratulations”, in Portuguese.

“I’m Still Here” made history this Thursday by winning three Oscar 2025 nominations, including in the Best Film category – an unprecedented feat for a Brazilian feature film. The production also competes in the categories of Best International Film, in addition to Best Actress with Fernanda Torres.
