Netflix announced this Thursday (12) that the singer Mariah Carey 55, will be responsible for NFL Christmas games opening show which the platform will broadcast on the 25th. The Queen of Christmas will make a recorded performance of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” his main Christmas hit.
On this occasion, Netflix will broadcast two American football league games globally:
- 3pm: Kansas City Chiefs (Travis Kelce’s team, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend) x Pittsburgh Steelers;
- 6:30 p.m.: Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans.
The second match will also feature a concert by Beyoncé, a singer who was born in the Houston Texans’ home city. She promises to present “Cowboy Carter Christmas”, performing the first show of her country era. Check out the teaser released by the “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “Crazy In Love” singer here.
Another Christmas for Mariah’s account
“All I Want For Christmas Is You” returned to the top of the main US music chart, the Billboard Hot 100, this week. The information was released by the North American magazine in its update on Monday (9).
This is the song’s 15th week in first position in the ranking, a position to which it usually returns, since 2017, whenever Christmas approaches. This is the sixth different year that the song has topped the Hot 100, which is a first for any Christmas song.
