Actress, producer and owner of two theaters – Poeira and Poeirinha, in Rio de Janeiro, together with her friend Andrea Beltrão – Marieta Severo is one of the most awarded artists in Brazil.
At 75, Marieta has a career spanning 50 years with more than 20 TV productions, 30 plays and 40 films. The actress gave life to unforgettable characters on the channel, such as Dona Nenê, from the series “A Grande Família”, shown for 13 years, the Alma of “Laços de Família”, from 2000, and the also iconic protagonist of the movie “Carlota Joaquina, Princess of Brazil”, 1995, by Carla Camuratti.
Recently, in September, she starred in the national film “Duetto” and is showing, until November, with the theatrical show “O Espectador”, at Teatro Poeira.
In an interview with CNN in September, Marieta spoke about the need to have self-confidence and the will to continue working.
“I do psychoanalysis and I don’t stop. I have my mistakes, my difficulties, my limitations, I always want to deal with them and expand my spaces”, said the great actress.
