Marina Alimou: Seven months delay for the JMC of building permits

There are delays in the issuance of Joint Ministerial Decisions in order to proceed with the issuance of construction permits in Marina Alimou.

It should be noted that on June 30, 2021, Reds submitted the master plan and since then is waiting for the JMC in order to proceed with the issuance of construction permits for the project.

The Reds management is waiting for the completion of the signatures (about 7 months) for the issuance of the JMC, in order to start the construction of the marina within the first quarter of 2023 with a completion time within 2025, as provided in the schedule.

It is recalled that the above concession project was undertaken by Aktor Concessions at the end of 2020, with the total price reaching 57.5 million euros, with Reds undertaking the elaboration of the studies and the construction of the concession project of the exclusive right to provide management services of the tourist port of Alimos. The Aktor group will invest around 50 million euros in the renovation of the marina.

Alimou Marina is one of the most important in Greece and one of the largest marinas in the Eastern Mediterranean. Its land zone has an area of ​​about 210,000 sq.m., while its maritime zone has an area of ​​approximately 428,000 sq.m. Alimou Marina currently offers approximately 1,100 berths for yachts of various sizes and largely serves the berth needs of the yacht charter market of Athens.

In the land area of ​​the marina, covering an area of ​​approximately 210 acres, the development of approximately 18,000 sq.m. commercial uses.

The surrounding area of ​​the land section of the marina will be designed in such a way as to include roads, sidewalks, bike paths, parking lots, but also elaborate green areas that will host outdoor cultural events for visitors.

The offices that will be built as well as the warehouses, repair shops and shops, will serve the most important companies for chartering professional yachts, but also other companies active in the field of boats, tourism and wider business.

In the marine zone of Marina, covering an area of ​​almost 428 acres, will be able to dock about 1,000 yachts, after the reconstruction of the floating piers which as a whole will bring a new, modern design that will fully utilize the necessary space for the best service of boats and their users.

In addition, special emphasis will be given to the modernization of important parts for the smooth operation of the pier, such as modern facilities (pillars) for refueling boats, other security facilities, lighting, security (automation) with automated monitoring systems, etc.
