Mark Rutte calls for strong security guarantees for Ukraine

NATO Secretary -General Mark Rutte, who is currently visiting Kiev, called on Western allies to give “strong security guarantees” for Ukraine in the event of a peacekeeping agreement with Moscow, to prevent any new Russian invasion. “Strong security guarantees will be necessary, and this is what we are trying to determine now” to ensure that Russia “will never try to understand a square kilometer of Ukrainian territory again,” he said.
