The week starts with the same pessimism as the previous week, while US futures and European stock markets open lower on Monday (9).
Investors are cautious with the release of US consumer inflation on Wednesday (11). It is expected that there will be a slight reduction in the index, reaching 8.1%, which could mean that inflation has already reached its peak and should not go any further.
In Brazil, the week also begins with expectations about the release of economic data that may impact the market, such as the IBGE surveys on trade and services, in addition to the Copom minutes, released on Tuesday (10). The Focus Bulletin, normally published on Monday, will be postponed due to the BC servers strike.
Regarding the release of the IPCA for April, the hope is that the indicator will decelerate a little due to the green flag, which came back into effect on the 16th of the same month.
Presented by Thais Herédia and Priscila Yasbek, the CNN Money presents a balance of news issues that influence markets, finances and the direction of society and the dynamics of power in Brazil and in the world.
