Financial market institutions surveyed in the Central Bank’s Bulletin Focus continue to expect an improvement in the economic scenario for 2022.
According to the survey released this Monday (22), the expectation of inflation had the eighth consecutive fall and reached 6.82%. Previously, the projection was 7.02%.
In the same sense, the expectation for the results of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2022 reached 2.02%, compared to the 2% released in the previous week.
For 2023, inflation had the first drop in this week’s Focus Bulletin , after 19 consecutive forecasts of growth in the indicator. According to the document, in the following year, inflation should be 5.33%.
However, the expectation of economic growth dropped to 0.39% for the next year, compared to the 0.41% expected in the last release of the Bulletin.
The document gathers the estimates of more than 100 financial market institutions for the main economic indicators.
