Josué da Costa Ribeiro, 61, was arrested on Sunday (27) in Boa Vista, 15 years after trying to kill a competitor during a fight at the Buritis Fair . The crime occurred in December 2009 and was motivated by the dispute for a client in their workplace.
According to information from the State Secretariat of Public Security (Sesp), Josué was sentenced to 4 years and 5 months in prison under a semi -open regime. The arrest was held after monitoring by the Sesp Intelligence Department (Deint), with the support of the Military Police.
According to the complaint of the Public Prosecution Service of Roraima (MP-RR), the marketer attacked the victim, José Costa de Barros, with knife blows after a discussion. Even wounded, Joseph managed to escape and house in a nearby butcher shop, where a witness prevented the continuity of the aggressions. The attempted murder was classified by the MP as committed by futile and cruelly reasons.
