Marketing wonders from Nvidia. The company will re-launch the GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super, and the second will be more expensive than the new RTX 3060

It seems that amid a huge shortage of next-generation video cards, which will last at least until the end of the quarter, Nvidia has decided to re-release several older models.

Marketing wonders from Nvidia. The company will re-launch the GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super, and the second will be more expensive than the new RTX 3060

The GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super were rumored to have been discontinued late last year. Now such cards are really sold in small quantities and with a significant mark-up. According to the source, Nvidia intends to actually re-bring these adapters to market. Video card manufacturers have allegedly already received new GPUs for these purposes. Interestingly, the RTX 3060 should enter the market at the end of February, but it will suffer the same fate as the older Ampere adapters.

It’s also important to say about prices. The GeForce RTX 2060 and RTX 2060 Super will allegedly re-enter the market with prices of about 300 and 400 euros, respectively. As a reminder, the RTX 3060 costs 340 euros and is significantly faster. Nvidia probably knows that the latest adapter will still be in short supply and at huge markups, so it does not hesitate to set a higher price on older and less powerful cards.
