Marquezine adopts the ‘get ready with me’ trend; know the trend of TikTok

Get ready with me to go to the movies: it was for this occasion that the actress Bruna Marquezine adopted the trend of GRWM (“get ready with me”, in English) in the TikTok and published her first video putting together a look.

The “Blue Beetle” star started by showing off a shirt oversized blue, which was the key piece of her look. Afterwards, she was in doubt between two options for the bottom part: a black miniskirt and tailored pants, also black. She ended up choosing the skirt.

For the shoe, Marquezine showed a strappy sandal and a clog, both in the same color as the shirt, and opted for the clog, due to comfort. The muse complemented the look with a different earring: on one side a blue square, on the other, a pink key. For a purse, she chose a small, silver one. The whole look fits right in with the vibe of her new movie, which opened this week.

“It doesn’t make any sense this business of putting together the look with you, you’re not here, I’m going to put it together myself. I even know what I’m going to wear, but I’m going to pretend I don’t know”, joked the actress.

The artist even asked for suggestions in the comments for what to use as a catchphrase at the end of GRWM’s videos.

“I don’t know what my catchphrase is. They all have a catchphrase, like ‘final look’. And there? I say what? I didn’t have time and I don’t have time to create this catchphrase, so here it is. If you have a suggestion, put in the comments what I can say at the end of my videos. As if I’m going to do more of this, I’m not promising anything. Kiss ”, she finished in a joking tone.

The actress has 2.4 million followers on TikTok and her first GRWM video, posted this Friday afternoon (18), already has more than 673,000 views, 163,000 likes and 1,800 comments.

What is GRWM?

Although Bruna Marquezine only entered the trend today, the trend is not new and many influencers and artists have been posting videos on social networks daily getting ready for all kinds of events for some time now. The practice has been growing more and more, including on other platforms, such as Instagram.

The aim is, mainly, to exchange styling, hair and makeup tips in a more intimate and informal way. There is no single way to do a GRWM, which makes this trend very democratic, including women and men, diverse bodies and different socioeconomic profiles. Narrated or not, with or without music, just the makeup or the clothes, the goal is to show step by step how the look was conceived and how it will look.
