«Marriage at First Sight»: what happened to the couples of past editions?

Another round, other weddings. After the success of the last edition, which aired last autumn on Real Time and filmed in the midst of the pandemic, Wedding at Prima Vista Italy returns with a new cycle of episodes and three new couples to be married starting January 19th, on the Discovery + platform. The experiment, which sees three men and three women rely on the calculations of three experts in the sector to find a soul mate, follows the classic path of a love declined in reverse: in fact, one does not start from knowledge to get to the altar , but from the altar to knowledge.

In five weeks, the protagonists will try to understand if they are really made for each other and then decide whether to continue the experiment together or to separate. Waiting to find out if the experts Fabrizio Quattrini, Mario Abis and Nada Loffredi have guessed the couples of this edition – an objection that users often raise on social networks is that no marriage arranged by them seems to stand the test of time – let’s try to retrace the steps of the previous protagonists and find out what happened to them.

MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT 5
Of the fourth edition, which aired in the autumn of 2020 on Real Time, none of the 3 couples survived the final test. Giorgia and Luca, the most promising one, left in a bad way, while the other 2 were the protagonists of a general reshuffling: after the end of their respective experiences with Nicole and Gianluca, in fact, Andrea and Sitara had a short story, shipwrecked in a few months. It went, however, better to the ex partners: Gianluca got engaged to a girl and lives in Copenhagen, while Nicole started a wonderful love story with Marco Rompietti, one of the protagonists of the fourth edition. Their love, welcomed by social media, surprised everyone a bit, but it is the proof, as Mario Abis explained to Vanity Fair, which the experiment of Wedding at First Sight does not stop at the cameras, but is destined to evolve and transform over time.

MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT 4
Aired in the fall of 2019 on Real Time, this is the first edition of the Discovery program. Also in this case, none of the 3 protagonist couples remained together after the end of the experiment: Fulvio and Federica broke up without too many twists, as did Marco (who is now with Nicole) and Ambra, who, however, remained on excellent terms. Something that certainly cannot be said about Cecilia and Luca, a couple that seemed to promise well but that, at the last minute, cracked, leaving everyone by surprise. Now the girl is engaged.

MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT 3
Aired on Sky Uno in 2018, it also sees the failure of the marriage of the leading couples, formed by Daniela and Roberto, by Camilla and Mauro and by Rossella and Andrea. Roberto is currently engaged to Mariaserena and Mauro to Alice. Daniela, Camilla, Rossella and Andrea are, at least according to what transpires from social networks, single.

MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT 2
The second edition of docureality aired on Sky Uno in the spring of 2017. Of the three couples, only one resisted: it is the one formed by Francesca and Stefano, the only one, for now, to have respected the promise of the wedding vow in the Italian version of the format, while Wilma and Stefano and Sara and Steven (currently engaged to Adriana) have decided by mutual agreement to end their experience because they are incompatible. In an interview with TvZapWilma explained that if she went back she wouldn’t do it again Wedding at First Sight because “I don’t want calculated love, I want disorganized love, I want a love that makes me laugh”.

MARRIAGE AT FIRST SIGHT 1
The very first edition of the program was broadcast on Sky Uno in 2016, certainly not under the best auspices: all three pairs formed by the experts, Lara and Marco, Alessandra and Michele and Annalisa and Fabrizio, have, in fact, decided to divorce once the cameras are turned off. Of the 6, it seems that the only one currently engaged is Annalisa.
