Married at First Sight 12: the reunion shows us that Stefania and Roberto are worse off than Benedetta and Enrico

We needed the reunion to make us understand that the couple is in more crisis than this Marriage at first sight it was not the one formed by Benedetta Campigli and Enrico Bonechi but come on Roberto Caruso and Stefania Gioachin. Leaving aside the fact that we already had some doubts about their synergy in the first episode, when Stefania burst into tears in front of the cameras because she didn't like Roberto and he wasn't the man she hoped to meet at the altar, for a while we thought the two weren't doing so badly after all. Especially considering that on the other side two members of the experiment had even decided not to move in together because they were unable to tolerate each other. Except that, in light of the entire journey of Marriage at first sightwe must give credit to Benedetta and Enrico: that of having been consistent from start to finish. It's true, they didn't try and they immediately threw in the towel, effectively sending the ultimate meaning of the format to hell, but at least they didn't hide behind do-goodism and quiet living, immediately giving vent to one's intolerance towards the 'other. Which, if we think about it, was completely missed by Roberto and Stefania, who they kept their cards hidden until the definitive comparison with the other couples of this edition.

It was at that moment, in fact, that the two chose to spill the beans. The first was Roberto, who perhaps, to avoid the obvious risk of friendzone, he decided to quickly retrace his steps. Despite having shown an initial interest in Stefania, who he had defined as a beautiful woman, the man in fact chose to backtrack by admitting that his bride was not right for him and that he had no intention of deepening his knowledge of her. At the time of comparison of Marriage at first sighthowever, Roberto chose to make matters worse, admitting to being disappointed by many of Stefania's attitudesincluding the annoyance she would feel when she realized that, during their honeymoon, he had waited for her for breakfast when she simply wanted to be free and independent. “You had all these things inside and you're just now taking them out?” was Stefania's more than fair comment considering that, for everything Marriage at first sight, Roberto had never mentioned any of this. It is clear, at this point, that perhaps the biggest critical issues were theirs, only that we didn't realize it, busy as we were with reporting on Benedetta's atavistic hatred towards Enrico.

Those who tried to take a step further were, however, Ilaria Spillari and Giuseppe Ravetti, but with a fundamental problem. She is just trying to get to know him, probably also to be able to conclude the experience of Marriage at first sight saying that he did his best to make his partner like him, while he seems absolutely convinced that the chances of coming out of the experiment with her together are quite high: something doesn't add up, just as it doesn't add up in the only couple of Marriage at first sight not having taken part in the reunion as it was entered into during construction, i.e. the one formed by Fabio Rossi and Ilaria Zanoli. The reason continues to be the same as at the beginning: she is so engrossed that she seems to miss just staring at the baby shower, while he alternates moments in which he shows himself involved with others in which he would like to run away like hell because, as he said in a confessional, he doesn't like Ilaria physically. The problem is that the girl doesn't know it, and that's why she doesn't understand how the boy kicks up every time the conversations between them become more serious. As far as we are concerned, at this point in the program, it seems that the only ones who had the courage to play with their cards exposed were, in retaliation, Benedetta and Enrico. And we would never have said it.
