There Queen Mary of Denmark landed on October 2nd in Brazil for an official trip to the South American country, where she will remain until Saturday the 5th. She did it alone, since this time King Frederick of Denmark does not accompany her: Mary Donaldson arrived from the airport directly to the Amazon.
An expedition awaited her in Manaus that would take her along the Amazon River and allow her to closely observe the challenges this region faces and the possible solutions to the problems of climate change. An excursion that also offered her the opportunity to visit the Adolpho Ducke forest reserve and the Museu da Amazönia MUSA.

The accessory that the queen never separated from was the pendant with her husband’s initial, there F for Federicomade of diamonds. A symbolic sign of the fact that, despite not having been able to accompany her, the king is very present and always stands by her.

The emerald set, the most precious in the royal collection, can only be worn by the sovereign in office and cannot cross the borders of the Scandinavian country. Furthermore, it is the only set that includes a tiara, therefore perfect for the new official portrait

After this visit to the Amazon, Mary of Denmark was received by the governor of the region, Wilson Lima, at the Amazonas Theater in Manaus. The queen therefore opted for a brightly colored and more sophisticated outfit, as the occasion required. The queen paired an aubergine-colored crisscross blouse with a bottle green embroidered skirt, embellishing everything with golden accessories: sandals Aquazzuraclutch and oversized bohemian earrings.

In the following days the Queen was the protagonist of various meetings, and went to Brasilia where she met the Danish Minister for Climate, Energy and Infrastructure, who accompanied her to the other meetings scheduled on the agenda.
The last time we saw Frederick of Denmark and Queen Mary together was on September 12, at an event organized together with Princess Benedikte during the Paralympic Games.
