According to reliable information, Diamantis Masoutis SA is acquiring 50% of the activities of the Cretan cooperative chain Synka.
As part of the agreement that is expected to be announced even later in the day, it is foreseen the acquisition of the activities that Synka maintains with stores in Corfu but also through the former Vidalis in the Cyclades.
For the purpose of this partnership, Synka had already made a decision to spin off the retail industry and create a new company.
The new company includes all the activities of the Synka Group related to the wholesale and retail sale of goods and supermarket items, as well as the storage and distribution of products for the service of themselves and cooperating supermarkets. Characteristic of the prospects given by the new company, is that based on the secession plan, it offers the possibility of establishing and operating new stores, both in Crete and in all the Aegean islands and in Corfu.
In terms of financial performance, in 2020 the turnover amounted to 186.2 million euros from 189.17 million. euro. which was in 2019 with net profits after taxes amounting to 524 thousand euros, from 686.6 thousand euros in 2019.
