Now, business of any size can buy such advertising. The cost of such an advertising company starts from 17.5 thousand rubles without VAT.
Yandex calls such advertising in Yandex.Maps, Metro, and Navigator “geo-advertising”. It allows you to show ads in different formats as you follow the route. As the developers promise, ads are shown only for stops at a traffic light or in a traffic jam.
Observers are already expressing concern about the intrusiveness and mass nature of such advertising with new indulgences. And if until September 2021 Navigator users could turn off ads, then this option disappeared, causing a wave of outraged reviews in online app stores.
