FADU Technology, a company specializing in the development of high-performance SSD controllers and data center solutions, announced that its FC3081 and FC4121 controllers are in series production.

These SSD controllers are fully compliant with NVMe Cloud SSD Open Compute Project (OCP) specifications. They meet the tough demands of data center workloads. Developed by leading data center vendors including Meta (formerly known as Facebook), the OCP specification is a set of unified, interoperable standards that enable SSD and SSD controller vendors to work effectively with next-generation storage systems.

The first-generation FC3081 controller, according to FADU, is the industry’s first controller, delivering 100,000 IOPS/W. The second generation FADU controller FC4121 doubles the speed of SSDs compared to the first generation with up to 7300 KB/s sequential read and 4800 KB/s sequential write. Performance on random access operations in read mode reaches 1,500,000 IOPS, in write mode – 185,000 IOPS.
According to FADU, some major manufacturers, such as SK Hynix, have already chosen its controllers for their drives.
