At least seven people were injured this Sunday (31) after a shooting in downtown Orlando, Florida, in the United States.
The incident began around 2 am after a major fight, Orlando Police Chief Eric D. Smith said. An unidentified person drew a gun and fired into the crowd, injuring seven people.
All victims were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were found to be in stable condition, Smith said.
So far, local authorities do not have a description of the shooter.
According to the nonprofit Gun Violence Archive, the US has had at least 381 mass shootings this year. That’s an average of over 1.7 mass shootings every day.
Both the Gun Violence Archive and the CNN define a mass shooting as one in which at least four people are shot, excluding the gunman.
