The images of bodies Ukrainian civilians killed, scattered in streets and ditches in the city of Bucha, left the world horrified and led Russia, accused of the massacre, to be suspended from the UN Human Rights Council (United Nations) on Thursday (7) .
Ukrainian authorities and the president himself Volodymyr Zelensky, accuse Russian troops, who occupied the region until the beginning of April. The deaths would have occurred with the retaking of the capital Kiev region, where the city of Bucha is located.
The Kremlin claimed that the crimes were committed by Ukrainian special services and called the situation a “staging”. Murder of civilians is considered a war crime by the UN and its member countries.
To understand what happened in Bucha and the evolution of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, E Tem Mais talks with Pedro Mendes Martins, master of military science and specialist in Russia, and Allyson Vitali and Rodolfo Caires, Brazilian volunteers from the NGO We Doo Ukraine.
