Massacre in Sassuolo: kills his partner, children and mother-in-law

November 25, in a week’s time, is the international day against violence against women. Italy comes to us with a victim of femicide every three days. The last is a real massacre. TO Sassuolo, in the Modena area, a man stabbed his partner, his two children and his mother-in-law. He then took his own life, probably, with the same weapon.

It happened on the afternoon of November 17 near the city center in the home of the mother of Elisa Mulas, the 40-year-old victim of the ambush, who had returned to her mother to get away from her companion Nabil Dahari, a 38-year-old Tunisian who had lived in Italy for some time. Elisa was the first victim, followed by her children, two children aged 2 and 5, then the 64-year-old mother.

The man worked in a supermarket in Sassuolo. The woman was a cleaner and also had an eleven-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. The girl was saved because she was in school. The massacre was discovered because no one had gone to take it back.

It was one who accompanied the cops home uncle. The Corriere della Sera reports the words of one of the investigators. “A horror, they were all between the small corridor and the bedroom, it hit them several times … they had no escape because the house is small and of course there is only one entrance.”

The couple’s story had ended a few months ago and since then the man has been threatening his partner, even with death. Elisa Mulas had sent an audio to her friend. “They often heard arguing and he threatened her” a neighbor said. Only a few days ago he reported the attacks suffered.

From the beginning of the year to November 7, 103 women were killed in Italy. Of these, 87 were killed in a family or emotional environment. For 60 of them the killer was the partner or ex-partner according to data from the Criminal Analysis Service of the Central Directorate of the Criminal Police. Compared to 2020, homicides have decreased, but women among the victims have increased. Crimes in the family are also on the rise.
