“I really wanted to erase my whole life before.” Riccardo said it immediately, in the first minutes, what his intent was. It was last September and this boy, then not yet eighteen years old, exterminated in the night between August 31 and the first day of September 2024 in the house in which they lived a Paderno Dugnanoin the province of Milan. Now the psychiatric report arranged by the investigating judge for the minors of Milan Laura Margherita Pietrasanta, and performed by Franco Martelli concludes that there is a partial inability to understand and want.
According to what appears from the expertise there was in the boy A suspension between “reality and fantasy” who would have impactful on his ability to understand and want. Riccardo’s goal, who is now adults and will go to trial with abbreviated rite, was “immortality”, the means to achieve it was to get rid of the family members therefore of all the affections. He did so by stabbing them: 108 stabbed to three people.
What makes these crimes particularly disturbing is their apparent absence of motive and the context of normality in which they occurred. They force us to recognize that violence is yes the product of extreme contexts and marginalized individuals, but it is also the absolutely unreasonable. Often the origins of violence are hidden in the folds of ordinary life, in the small unresolved conflicts, in the accumulated frustrations or in the non -addressed mental health problems, in the effort to seem normal.
From what is reported of the results of the expertise wanted by the Prosecutor and carried out by Dr. Martelli, Riccardo had an ability to understand reduced and his ability to want at the time of the fact was equally reduced. The boy said in the interrogations that he felt unrelated to the world in which he lives: “I wanted to be immortal, killing them I could have lived in a free way.”
City mourning on the day of the funeral for the twelve year old Lorenzo and for his parents killed by the other son, Riccardo. The archbishop of Milan presides over the funeral. The 17 year old in prison will be able to see the grandparents

Amedeo Rizza is the lawyer who defends him. These are his words to Corriere della Sera: “While not entering into the merits of the relationships, which will be evaluated in the appropriate locations, it has been ascertained that the malaise that Riccardo spoke of has found confirmation in the expertise and advice”. There is also one expert report made by defense which instead ascertained a total inability. Next to the boy remained the grandparents and other family members.
