And he returns there, at 16:58, in via D’Amelio. It is not only the day when the judge Paolo Borsellino died. It is the day in which its escort agents also died. Guys, often very young, whose stories return to the center in the documentary The boys of the stocksmade by 42nd parallel in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior – Department of Public Security. “On July 19th I started the day quietly, like a normal Sunday », Victoria Elena De Lisi, Vincenzo Fabio Li Muli’s girlfriend tells. «I stayed at home that day with my two sisters, my parents were out, my brother had also come out. I was preparing to see myself with Fabio in the evening, at the end of his turn. Around 5:30 pm I feel called by a neighbor who wonders if Fabio was with me at that moment, I say no because he was of service, that he would come later, I asked the lady why and she told me “But do you know who he is, with whom he works, who is escort?”. Clearly I said no to the lady because we couldn’t say it. I entered the house again, the phone rings, this time he is my brother who asks me “Vittoria, Fabio is with you?”, I said “No, why? You are the second person who asks me at this moment”. He says “I heard something on television, turn on TV, see what happened.” And he asked me if I was at home alone. I turned on the television and had a phrase that my brother had told me at that moment, that is, “I seem to have heard the name of Fabio on TV”. I was there to look at the images and I repeat that Fabio could not be there, that he was fine and would have called me. When they said the names I kept saying that it was not possible, that it was probably a mistake, I screamed, I started crying, my sisters immediately came to console me, but they did not succeed ».

Thirty -three years have passed since the massacre of via D’Amelio and not justice has been made. The families of the victims continue to ask that the truth will see the light, despite the continuous sidetracks. In this void, remembering becomes a necessary act: not only to honor those who have lost their lives, but to ask themselves about the present. As Sabrina Muli says in the episode dedicated to her brother: “The state is made of people. And to his inside there are that they are worth, because otherwise the death that Fabio did, and I cannot accept instead that he died at all. So for me there are honest people in the state, just as there are people march. So hope is what the people they produce, who make this part of the state so rotten they slope and make the truth actually come out “. When justice and truth are missing, memory becomes a civil act, because it chooses not to forget, because it forces the country to look at the mirror. “I try to believe in justice, I believe in the magistrates, I believe in the judges who do their job,” says Victoria de Lisi. “But one thing hurts me very much, why those boys, agents and judge Borsellino were abandoned?”.
