A masseur was arrested on suspicion of sexual harassment in Rio das Ostras, on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, last Saturday (18).
According to the Civil Police, the victim was spending the weekend in the Lagos Region, and looked for a massage therapy service online.
The harassment would have occurred during the massage session. The victim told police that the suspect gave her a blindfold, claiming it would help her relax.
At a certain point, according to the report, the masseur passed his hands over the victim’s private parts. When taking off the blindfold, the woman realized that the suspect was only wearing underwear. She also said that the man offered to take a shower.
Out of fear, the victim stated that he had no reaction and left the scene straight to the 128th Police Station of Rio das Ostras.
At the police station, after the woman’s statement, the police carried out investigations that resulted in the masseur’s arrest in the act.
“He was taken to the police station, charged under article 215-A of the Penal Code, which is sexual harassment. And also, after the charge, he was sent to the Campos custody house, where he will be at the disposal of the justice system”, informed the case delegate, Filipi Poeys.
