A MasterCard spokesperson said that Fluency’s technological expertise will help the international payment system better understand the capabilities and benefits of government digital currencies (CBDC). All this for seamless transactions with different types of CBDC, opportunities for retail and wholesale trade, online settlement with multiple CBDCs, including tokenized assets and regulated stablecoins.
MasterCard noted that Fluency occupies an important place in the CBDC ecosystem, as it has the status of a full member of various expert councils around the world. For example, it cooperates with the central banks and governments of 23 Eurozone countries, including the European Central Bank and the Bank of England.
At the beginning of the second half of the year, the international payment system MasterCard and the crypto gateway provider Fasset entered into a partnership agreement to develop methods and technologies that open access to the market of applied digital solutions for Indonesian citizens.
