Mastercard announced payments in cryptocurrency

American financial corporation Mastercard announced that this year it will begin to carry out transactions with various cryptocurrencies in its international payment system of the same name.

This statement was made by Raj Damodaran, Executive Vice President of Mastercard for Digital Assets, Blockchain Technologies and Partnerships: “Right now, we are preparing for the future of cryptocurrency and payments, announcing that Mastercard will begin supporting certain cryptocurrencies this year directly through our network.».

So far, the list of supported cryptocurrencies has not been published, however, Damodaran noted that the company plans to carefully approach the choice of cryptocurrencies and that not all modern virtual currencies will be supported.
