MasterChef celebrates 10 years with new special season

O MasterChef Brazil a culinary competition reality show shown on Band, celebrates 10 years since its debut with a new season that premieres next Tuesday (28).

With the motto “a decade of passion”, the 11th season brings back chefs Erick Jacquin, Helena Rizzo and Henrique Fogaça as judges for the competition, under the command of presenter Ana Paula Padrão, but also has some new features.

The program promises to bring “regional clashes” in the first episodes of the season, in which participants will have to prepare traditional dishes from their respective states for the competition.

The scenery will also have some changes, such as gold details inspired by the movement of the flames.

Celebrity guests

Furthermore, MasterChef must invite influencers to participate in the program.

“This season, we are going to bring the internet into the program. We invited several influencers who currently represent this medium well”, said director Marisa Mestiço.

Celebrity guests will also be responsible for helping the chefs decide which candidates deserve to win the apron and officially become one of the 23 participants on the program.

Among them are: Carlinhos Maia, Gkay, Catia Damasceno, Oli Natu, Jooj Natu, Edelson Ribeiro (Survivor), Tainá Costa, Juju Salimeni, Vittor Fernando, Arthur Paek, Leonardo Bagarollo, Rafa Chalub (Esse Menino), Enaldinho, Jon Vlogs, Luiza Possi and Matheus Costa.

Other celebrities are also confirmed as guests throughout this season, such as Blogueirinha, Nicole Bahls, Lucas Rangel, Alvaro, Pequena Lo, among others.

Another new feature is that the chat with the winner of the week, “MasterChef HQ – Interview with the Eliminated” gains actress and singer Mari Belém and the runner-up of the program's second season, Raul Lemos, as presenters.

New division between participants

After the selection process, the 23 selected amateur cooks will be divided into two groups — which will not know of each other's existence.

Only in the fifth week of the program will the two groups meet and discover that, in fact, the number of competitors is twice what they thought.

In the meeting episode, they will have to make a giant cake to celebrate 10 years of MasterChef Brasil, which will be distributed on the streets of São Paulo.

Biggest prize on the show

In addition to the MasterChef trophy, this season's winner will take home the biggest cash prize of all seasons of the program: R$350,000.

The winner also receives a set of pans from the Royal Prestige brand, a complete gourmand kitchen from Brastemp, a Seu Espresso by Aram store, R$50,000 worth of Camicado products and a complete course at the Le Cordon Bleu gastronomy school.
