The country duo Matheus and Kauan canceled the show scheduled this Saturday (21), at the festival Villa Mix in São Paulo. On social media, the artists explained that they will not perform for “failure to comply with presentation times”.
The note published on the duo’s official networks explains that “for reasons beyond our control, Mundo Paralelo Produções Artísticas Ltda, the company that manages the career of the duo Matheus & Kauan, announces the impossibility of holding the show scheduled for today, the 21st of December, at the Villa Mix Festival”.
The reason would be the “lack of compliance with the duo’s presentation time, even though it had been duly adjusted and formalized previously”.
“Mundo Paralelo and the artists regret what happened. Certain that we have the understanding of fans, journalists and broadcasters, we hope to meet soon”, concluded the statement.

In a note sent to CNN, The Villa Mix festival’s advisors spoke out about what happened.
The event reported that “in initial negotiations, it was previously agreed that the duo Matheus and Kauan would play at the event at around 6pm, however, in order to meet the Head Line of the event, an international attraction, there were some adjustments to the presentation time, and in the In this case, for the duo Matheus and Kauan, there was a small anticipation in relation to the show time, and in the end it was scheduled that they should perform at the festival at 5pm”.
“However, it is important to highlight that the technical team of the duo Matheus and Kauan arrived at the event location outside of the scheduled time, that is, the professionals only arrived after the gates were already open, and they did not even provide for the assembly of the Back Line”, the statement continued.
The note also stated that “therefore, they did not proceed with the complete Sound Sheck and Line Check, that is, even if the performance time had not changed slightly, they would not have been able to carry out the show, due to the absolute negligence of the duo’s technical team. ”.
“AudioMix and all its partners are unhappy with the notification about the cancellation. We appreciate everyone’s understanding,” the statement concluded.
