LeBlanc, who was in the sitcom Joeyand who after the end of the series was also the protagonist of a spin-off of the same name, published a touching message addressing his friend directly: «Matthew, It is with death in my heart that I say goodbye to you. To accompany his words, a series of shots taken from the sitcom which aired from 1994 to 2004, which told the adventures of six friends who lived in New York.

And LeBlanc and Perry had truly become friends, thanks to that work experience, which marked their lives and linked them inextricably to the characters of Joey and Chandler. With them, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer. They all came together in 2021 for a reunion, the last time all together on screen.

And while friends try to metabolise their grief, they are still trying to understand what caused the actor’s death. At the beginning, the hypothesis of an illness due to some drugs taken by Perry, a life balanced between addictions and alcohol, was raised, but this theory was then set aside by the first results of the autopsy tests. The Los Angeles police are currently investigating a robbery and murder. “There robbery and homicide division is trying to make sure that nothing nefarious is involved in Perry’s death,” the police explained to the site Tmz, «It is normal in high profile cases to take this initiative». A practice, in short, even if in Perry’s Pacific Palisades villa no compatible tracks were detected with a violent act or a break-in.
