The “Central Perk” coffee shop, which is inspired by the iconic meeting place of the six friends from the series “Friends”, will pay a special tribute to Matthew Perry during its opening, which took place 17 days after the talented actor’s death.
The opening of the establishment was postponed due to the death of the actor who played the role of Chandler in the series. Now, the company has chosen to do something significant on the new opening day, this Tuesday (14).
As reported by “People” magazine, the first patrons of “Central Peek Coffeehouse” will be presented with a t-shirt printed with one of Chandler Bing’s iconic phrases: “Can I Interest You in a Sarcastic Comment?” (“Can I offer you a sarcastic comment?”).
Central Perk, named after the famous coffee shop in the series, is located on a renowned avenue in Boston, Newbury Street. Previously, there was a temporary location in New York.
With an area of 240 square meters, the space is the result of a partnership between Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and CenPer, and is full of souvenirs inspired by “Friends”, as well as containing subtle references to the show’s characters and plots.
