Matthew Perry spoke about ketamine, the drug that caused his death, in a book

Actor Matthew Perry, known for his role in “Friends”, had already spoken about ketamine – also known as ketamine and ketamine – in his autobiography. According to the autopsy, released last Friday (15), the drug was found in the actor’s bloodstream. According to the report, this means that Perry’s drowning and, therefore, death were due to the use of ketamine.

Matthew Perry was found dead in the pool of his Malibu home in October this year. He was 54 years old.

In his autobiographical biography “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir”, Perry spoke about the use of ketamine.

“I received daily infusions,” he shared. “It was a very popular urban drug in the 1980s, but today there is a synthetic form that is used for two purposes: easing pain and helping with depression. It’s like she was made for me – I might as well have named her ‘Matty’.”

“The feeling that ketamine gave me was to let the air out for a long time,” continues Perry, in his autobiography. “Taking ketamine is like being hit in the head with a giant shovel of joy. But the hangover was too difficult, heavier than the shovel. Ketamine wasn’t my thing.”

According to the autopsy, Perry was receiving ketamine treatment to treat anxiety and depression. However, the last session would have taken place a week and a half before his death – and the amount found in the actor’s body was considered “too high” for so long. Therefore, indicating that he had used the drug outside of what was prescribed.
