Matty Healy says he hasn't listened to Taylor Swift's album: “But I'm sure it's good”

Matty Healy talks about Taylor Swift's new album, “The Tortured Poets Department” after the singer's fans speculated that part of the album's songs made reference to the brief relationship between the two.

In a video published by Entertainment Tonightthe singer-songwriter is approached on the street and asked what he thought of the song about him.

“I haven't heard that much [o álbum]but I’m sure it’s good,” he replied.

He and the singer were briefly involved after Swift and Joe Alwyn's six-year relationship ended last year.

On the new album's title track, she appears to reference Matty's friend Lucy Dacus from the band boygenius and her friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff.

“Sometimes I wonder if you'll ruin this for me/ But you told Lucy you'd kill yourself if I left you/ And I'd said that to Jack about you, so I felt seen/ Everyone we know understands why it's meant to be ”, says the track.

Taylor talks about how she was “drowning in the blue river Nile” in 'Guilty as Sin', a reference to Matty's “favorite band of all time”, The Blue Nile, and even mentions another artist he admires, The Starting Line, in two other tracks.
