Maturity 2023, here are the disciplines of the second written test: what will the exam be like?

Maturity 2023: back to the old. After three years in which the exam has seen great changes due to the pandemic, the two written tests for the final high school exam are back. There is the first written test of Italian, common to all fields of study, which will take place from 8.30 am on Wednesday 21 June 2023. The student can choose from 7 ministerial tracks. There are 3 types of traces: text analysis (prose or poetry); argumentative text (they can be in the artistic, literary, philosophical, historical, economic, social, technological, scientific fields. One must be historical); topical theme (there will be 2 titles).

Come back there second written exam with the disciplines characterizing the individual study programmes: it is prepared by the Ministry and not by the examination commission as was the case last year. The date is June 22nd at 8.30am. Here are the disciplines for the different schools:

High schools

Latin for the classical high school;
Mathematics for Scientific Studies, also for the Applied Sciences option and the Sports Section;
Foreign language and culture 1 for Linguistics;
Human Sciences for the Human Sciences Lyceum (Law and Political Economy at the Economic-Social option);
Design disciplines characteristic of the single addresses for the art school;
Theory, analysis and composition for the music high school;
Dance techniques for the coreutic high school.

Technical institutes

Business economics for the Administration, Finance and Marketing specialization;
Business economics and Geo-politics in the articulation International relations for marketing and Tourism and business disciplines for the Tourism address;
Design, construction and systems for the Construction, Environment and Territory major, for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Information Technology and Telecommunications for the respective majors;
Multimedia design in the Graphic and communication area;
Vegetable productions for agricultural addresses,
Oenology for the articulation Viticulture and oenology.

One is expected third written test in some fields of study (EsaBac, EsaBac techno sections, sections with an international option, schools in the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta, in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and schools with a Slovenian teaching language and Slovenian/Italian bilinguals in Friuli-Venezia Giulia) .

Finally the oral interview, which has the objective of ascertaining the achievement of the educational, cultural and professional profile of the student. The paths for soft skills and for PCTO orientation, the former school-work alternation, and civic education also converge into this. The multidisciplinary thesis does not come back.

The admission it is decided by the Class Council with the following criteria: vote for all subjects; vote in conduct (not less than 6); attendance for at least three quarters of the total number of annual hours; participation in the Invalsi 2023 tests which are scheduled from 1 to 31 March 2023); completion of PCTO hours.

The Commissions exam are made up of an external President, three external members and three internal members of the school. We return to the traditional scores: a maximum of twenty points for each test and a maximum of 40 points for the three-year course. And there are any 5 bonus points that the commission can decide to award.
