On the International Day of Struggle for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, a date promulgated by the UN, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) promoted a meeting with the presidents of the parties to discuss the candidacy of blacks in the 2022 elections.
O CNN Specialist in Diversidade, Maurício Pestana, views the meeting with concern and explained how the situation of those who declare themselves black can make a difference in the election.
“Oobviously it is much important: Brazil does not have a large representation in the area politics black. FORoh, I keep seeing how this is going to be put, because it’s the people who self declare black. How that these politicians they go declare in the close elections? We need to look very closely attention this, why When is to have some advantage, is easy see whites turning black.”
