Officially titled Maxton Hall: The World Between Noti, the series debuted on May 9 and is a love story between Ruby and James, a blend of Pride and Prejudice, Gossip Girl And Gilmore Girls. Ruby Bell has only one goal: to graduate from private school Maxton Hall with enough grades to go to Oxford, the university of her dreams. She came to Maxton Hall on a scholarship and doesn't get along well with the other students, who only think about parties and money. Sharing her ambitions is her friend Lin, who however also struggles to fully understand Ruby.
The same goes for his family. They are happy with everything she does to her, but she feels she has a great responsibility towards her, especially towards her father. The series follows the events of the first book of the Maxton Hall trilogy, Save Me. The TV adaptation largely respects the book: Ruby Bell wants nothing to do with money, glamour, luxury or powerbut then finds himself directly confronted with a boy who embodies all of this.
Fans of the book will not be disappointed, even if the series is not an adaptation direct, in fact she took some liberties, especially with regards to the ending… (No spoilers!)
