May begins with a warning of storms for the southern region of Bahia, Piauí, Maranhão and Rio Grande do Sul. There is also forecast of heavy rains from the east of Amazonas to Amapá. Manaus and Macapá should have heavy precipitation.
According to Climatempo, a meteorological trough, air humidity and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be responsible for heavy rain on the east and north coast of the Northeast and between the north of Amazonas to Marajó Island.
Undisturbed rain in Acre, Rondônia, Mato Grosso, north of Goiás, in the Federal District and Tocantins.
Between Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, the presence of a trough and the humidity of the sea still leave the weather partially cloudy, with rain throughout the day.
In Rio de Janeiro, low pressure causes rain, especially in the Baixada Fluminense and in the north of the capital, while the sun prevails in much of the state.
In Rio Grande do Sul, the first cold front of May brings heavy rain and storms with severe intensity across the West Frontier, Campanha Gaúcha and in the south of the state, spreading storms in Porto Alegre only at the end of the night.
Open weather, with afternoon sun, without rain from Santa Catarina to the south of Goiás and Triângulo Mineiro. In coastal areas, fog and cloudiness in the morning. In the interior of these areas, clear weather from early in the morning and very sunny in the afternoon. Air humidity is good.
