At least ten people were killed while nine were injured yesterday, Saturday (20/5) of gunfire at a car show in Baja California, northern Mexico, municipal authorities said.
The attack occurred during an all-terrain vehicle racing demonstration in the San Vicente area of the city of Ensenada.
Around 2:18 p.m. on Saturday (00:18 today Greek time) people with long-barreled guns got out of a gray van and started shoot against people who took part in the demonstration and were at a gas station, according to information from calls to the immediate action service.
Municipal and state police, Marines, the Fire Department and the Mexican Red Cross arrived at the scene.
Mayor Armando Ayala Robles said, as reported by the Athens News Agency, that state prosecutor Ricardo Ivan Carpio Sanchez ordered a special team to investigate the shooting incident.
