MC Buarque lost part of one of his ears after setting off fireworks near a gas station in Barra da Tijuca, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. According to his statement on social media, he must undergo surgery on the afternoon of this Friday (6).
The funk artist was doing an action to distribute gasoline for motorcycle couriers when one of the fireworks came back towards him.
“Guys, unfortunately, I went to set off fireworks, everyone was happy and shouting, I went to set them off and they ended up back in my ear. My ear fell off, a little bit, I’m going to have to have surgery. [Estou] full of pain, but thank God, I won’t go deaf,” he reported.
