At 28 years old, the singer MC Hairy will make his big screen debut alongside the singer Malia . The feature film, in the format of a romantic comedy and still without a defined name, is part of the Globo Studios Film Center.
In the production, the audience will follow the story of the protagonist Nando, played by the funk artist who, in the scene, plays a snack bar delivery man and resident of PPG, a complex of Rio de Janeiro favelas, who dreams of becoming a big name in the trap funk scene. As the play unfolds, he gets involved with Jaque, Malía’s character.
Directed by Fábio Rodrigo, the film has a script written by Renata Sofia, Pedro Alvarenga and Fabrício Santiago, who worked with Cabelinho in “Go in Faith” shown on TV Globo in 2023. In fact, this was his second soap opera on the channel. Before that, he played Farula in “Mother’s love” .
Confirmed for Rock in Rio 2024, the MC will perform at Sunset stage on September 13th, alongside Coral das Favelas. The date also brings names such as Orochi, Chefin, Veigh, Kayblack, Funk Orquestra, MC Daniel, Rebecca and MC Soffia.
