Samsung Electronics announces that Samsung Health Monitor has become available in Russia. With its help, owners of the Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active22 will be able to measure their blood pressure and take an electrocardiogram (ECG).

To use the function, you must first calibrate your Galaxy Watch3 or Galaxy Watch Active2 using a traditional blood pressure monitor and then press the pressure measurement button. The device determines the pressure based on the pulse wave data read by the heart rate sensors. Then, the program analyzes the relationship between the calibration value and the change in blood pressure to determine the exact value.
The ECG monitoring feature works by analyzing the electrical activity of the heart using the ECG sensor on the Galaxy Watch3 or Galaxy Watch Active2. To use it, you need to open the Samsung Health Monitor app while sitting in a comfortable position and make sure the wearable device fits snugly around your wrist. Then place your forearm on a flat surface and hold the fingertip of the opposite hand on the top button of the device for 30 seconds.
To measure blood pressure and electrocardiogram, the Samsung Health Monitor app must be installed on both the Galaxy Watch3 or Galaxy Watch Active2 and the Galaxy smartphone.
The Galaxy Watch3 also supports blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) detection.
