Media: Bitmain will present a new ASIC miner with a capacity of 150 TH / s

The largest manufacturer of mining equipment Bitmain will release a new model of ASIC miner with a capacity of 150 TH / s. The device will be named Antminer S19XP.

As reported by The Block, citing sources familiar with the situation, the new miner will be built on the latest generation chips from TSMC, made using the 5 nm process technology. This will make the device more efficient and powerful. With a total hashrate of 150 TH / s, the Antminer S19XP will consume 3.1 kWh, while the efficiency of the device will be 21.5 J / TH.

The presentation of the new miner will take place this week at an exhibition in Dubai, and deliveries of the devices should begin from July to September next year. At the same time, according to the source The Block, the company has already presented a new miner model to its most important customers.

About preparing Antminer S19XP also reported Chinese journalist in the field of cryptocurrency Colin Wu, however, according to his data, the power consumption of the miner will be 3,225 watts.

Currently, the most powerful model in the Bitmain ASIC line is the Antminer S19 Pro. These miners are built on chips with a 7 nm process technology and provide a hash rate of 110 Tx / s, while energy consumption is also about 3.1 kW / h. Thus, the new model will be about 35% more efficient.

Note that there is now a significant shortage of semiconductor wafers used for the production of chips. Against this backdrop, most American companies reported significant delays in the supply of equipment.
