Media: The European Union plans to ban Russians from crypto payments to EU countries

According to preliminary data available to the media, EU member states are discussing additional restrictions on making cryptocurrency payments from Russia to the EU.

According to CoinDesk, citing sources familiar with the situation, previous sanctions to limit payments to European cryptocurrency wallets in the amount of €10,000 may be lifted. The new measures suggest that this figure will be reduced to zero.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced a new package of sanctions that she says will deprive the country of €7 billion. EU members.
