Moreover, he said that the video card will be able to automatically overclock to 2520 MHz, while manual overclocking, especially when it comes to models of partner companies with more advanced cooling, can achieve much higher frequencies. For example, the Founders Edition RTX 3090 Ti has a base GPU clock speed of 1670 MHz.
Based on this, we can conclude that the RTX 4090, when manually overclocked with good cooling, will receive a frequency that is almost twice as high as last year’s flagship. Naturally, this will affect the performance of the video card in games, but, on the other hand, at such frequencies, the new product will consume much more energy. Most likely, this mark will be reached by the RTX 4090 Ti video card, which, according to insiders, will come with an AD102 graphics chip – it will receive even higher base frequencies. And, accordingly, with effective cooling, the user will be able to overclock the flagship video card to the mark of 2.8-3.0 GHz, although, most likely, this will be entertainment for enthusiasts, since the video card will not work at the limit of its capabilities for a long time. But the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070, judging by the information of the same insider, will not surprise gamers much – it will be a conditional upgrade of the RTX 3080.
