MediaTek hasn’t done this in its 23 years of existence. The company will pay employees incentive bonuses for $ 60 million

MediaTek has officially announced that it recorded record sales of its SoCs for smartphones last year, and will pay an employee incentive bonuses of approximately $ 60 million.

According to the TaiPei Times, the chipmaker pays out large bonuses to all of its employees, including those employed by the company’s main subsidiaries. Interestingly, we are talking about the biggest bonuses that MediaTek has ever given out in its 23-year history. The company and its five subsidiaries, including Richtek Technology Corp and Airoha Technology Corp, currently employ approximately 17,000 people. These employees will receive red envelopes, each containing $ 3,500.

The company confirmed that its 2020 revenues reached $ 10 billion and added that this is just the beginning as MediaTek plans to improve its numbers on an ongoing basis.

MedaiTek launched several successful 5G SoCs last year with Dimensity, and the flagship Dimesity 1200 will be announced on January 20.
