Medical is killed with at least six shots in Minas Gerais

THE Ophthalmologist Paula Sandri Frantz, 33, was shot dead On the afternoon of Monday (7), in the Morro Chic neighborhood, in Itajubá (MG). According to the Military Police, the victim was hit by at least six shots while sitting in the driver’s seat of his truck.

Two suspects-one man and a teenager-were arrested shortly after the crime on MG-350 in Delfim Moreira, a neighboring city. According to the PM, they are from Campo Grande (MS) and were arrested in the act with the weapon used in the murder and the vehicle identified by security cameras as being used in the criminal action.

The minor was the author of the shots and the adult acted as co -author. Both confessed to participation in the murder. Also according to the PM, the crime was commissioned, and the motivation would be a blow to the internet.

The hypothesis of murder – theft followed by death – was discarded, since nothing was taken from the victim. The possibility of passion crime was also eliminated.

According to preliminary investigations, the doctor was approached when she got in the car. It was at this moment that the minor approached and fired the shots.

The Itajubá Clinical Hospital, where Paula worked, issued a note of regret:

“It is with immense sadness that we paid our last tribute to Dr. Paula Sandri Frantz, ophthalmologist at HCI. Dr. Paula worked at the center of ophthalmology and was dear to the whole team. With her kind and delicate way, she attended all the patients very carefully.
