Last Wednesday (24), Diplo published a series of photos from the times he came to Brazil. In the images, he shows a climb in Vidigal, a party in Rocinha and his meeting with the funk player Mr catra .

“I love you so much, Rio, it has always been my favorite city in the world since my first time there, in 2004”, he began. “Returning to perform with Madonna next month will perhaps be the biggest event of my entire life. So please come on May 4th.”

In the show's producer's publication, Bonus Track, Diplo was officially announced as a special guest.

According to the producer's post on Instagram, the DJ will be responsible for opening the show, taking the stage at 8pm and performing until 9pm. One detail is that his set will be composed of “curated Brazilian music”.

Who is Diplo?

Thomas Wesley Pentz was born on November 10, 1978, in the state of Mississippi, in the United States.

Diplo only began to achieve success as a DJ when he produced and co-wrote MIA's 2007 album “Kala”. The album features the singer's hits “Paper Planes” and “Come Around”.
