The British actress Cynthia Erivo 38, was nominated, this Thursday morning (23), in the category of Best Actress node Oscars 2025 for his work in “Wicked” .
In the film, she plays Elphaba, a young woman who has not yet discovered her true power and is misunderstood because she has green skin. On her journey of discovery, she meets Glinda, a popular and ambitious figure, who does not know the true soul, played by Ariana Grande, 31.
Daughter of Nigerian parents, Cynthia was raised in London and made her acting debut in 2011, when she was cast in the musical “Les Parapluies de Cherbourg” from the West End.
