The movie “I’m still here ”It is marked not only for the box office success and the awards of world cinema, but also for the cast that gives life to the characters of this striking story.
Inspired by Marcelo Rubens Paiva’s book of the same name – author of “Happy Year old year”, one of the greatest literary hits of the 1980s – the film is set in the 1970s, during the height of the military dictatorship in Brazil. The plot follows the Paiva family, composed of Rubens (Selton Mello) , Eunice (FERNANDA TORRES in an award -winning performance with the Golden Globe) and their children, while facing the challenges and turmoil of the period.
Directed by Walter Salles, the feature is one of the most acclaimed national productions of the year, with indication to three Oscar categories including Best Movie besides exceeding the mark of 5 million viewers in Brazilian movie theaters.
