Conversations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and United States special envoy Steve Witkoff were completed on Friday after more than four hours. The negotiations were focused on resolution of the war in Ukraine
Kremlin published a photo on his website of the two leaders by squeezing his hands, stating that the meeting had taken place.
“The theme of the meeting: aspects of a Ukrainian agreement,” he said.
Interfax news agency reported that Witkoff, sent from President Donald Trump to the Middle East, increasingly involved in Russian affairs, had left the place of conversations – the presidential library in St. Petersburg, Russia’s second largest city.
The Tass news agency reported that Putin’s envoy of investments, Kirill Dmitiev, had returned to a hotel in the city.
