The subject of the meeting was the further support of households, due to the explosive increase in energy costs, with the undertaking of new initiatives by DEPA Commerce.
The company, in collaboration with RIS, has already developed a mechanism to absorb part of the price increases in gas costs, through which all household gas users will have a discount on the October and November bills, which corresponds to 16% of the wholesale supply price. . Messrs. Skrekas, Papadopoulos and Xifaras also discussed the significant increase of the 40% discount rate on gas bills in December, as announced by the Prime Minister, Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis. With these measures, household gas consumers will have a discount that will amount to 11 euros per thermal MWh in October, to 16 euros per thermal MWh in November and to 34 euros per thermal MWh in December.
During the meeting it was emphasized that, today DEPA Commerce, having become a modern, competitive and flexible energy company, with high verticality, has the strategic position that allows it to carry out interventions of this size in order to alleviate the country’s households and on the other to see the future with confidence and self-confidence.

In addition to the discount offered by DEPA Commerce, households will see an additional reduction in their bills that will average 15 euros per month and the suspension of network usage fees in November and December.
