Meeting of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew with Pope Leo in late November

Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew today had a meeting in the Vatican with Pope Leo ID, on the occasion of the ten -year initiatives by Pope Francis’ circular “Laudato Si”, dedicated to protecting the environment. Analysts say that the ecclesiastical Pontiff had elicited much of this circular by the work and the particular sensitivity of the Orthodox Taxi for protection and respect for our planet. Reportedly, the new Pontiff and the Ecumenical Patriarch agreed to meet in Nice in late November, for the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council. At the same time, during his journey, the Pope is expected to visit Ankara, Constantinople and the Ecumenical Patriarchate, during the Throne of St. Andrew, as well as Ephesus. Source: RES
