A meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, who is in Athens, is currently being held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias.
The meeting is “an opportunity to promote the strategic relations between Greece and Saudi Arabia and to discuss the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Gulf and the Middle East,” the Foreign Ministry said in a twitter post.
This visit, the second by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in Athens in less than a year (he had previously participated in the Friendship Forum in February 2021) follows the visit of the Greek Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with the Minister of Defense Nikos Panayotopoulos , in Saudi Arabia last April and of course the Prime Minister’s visit last October.
